What is the RSI?

RSIAre you trying to take your company to the next level? Do you work too much for too little? Do you often feel overwhelmed by the demands of your business and wonder what to do next?

The RSI© (Remodelers Success Index) answers these questions by identifying the biggest obstacles to your current success.  By isolating those obstacles you can then manage and control the related processes and change the outcome.

The RSI consists of measurement tools related to the 5 management functions:

  • Ownership and leadership,
  • Marketing, sales and estimating,
  • Production,
  • Finance, and
  • Administration and resources.

Some measurements are made annually, others quarterly and a vital few are calculated monthly. The total of all measurements accumulates on the “Company Report Card” based on the score of each management function. You can then see if your company score is 85%, your letter grade is “B”; if its 75% your letter grade is “C”.   If marketing, sales and estimating scores 98% and production scores 72%, then you can focus on improving the production processes.

The first draft of the RSI is now complete and being reviewed by successful remodeling contractors around the country. The anticipated publication date is January 1st 2009. To be part of this review process, or to learn more, send me an e-mail from the “Contact Me” screen.
